Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aims to develop communication support systems with people-friendly interface sensing the conversation atmosphere. The systems support the chat and SNS for remote communication, and mealtime communication for face-to-face communication.
The chat system displays multiple images to express user's emotions. As an experimental result, it revealed that the system can convey the conversation atmospheres visually during a conversation and after the conversation. For the support of anonymous communication, the proposed SNS provides moderate relationships among third persons without a sense of duty of reply. It cleared that the proposed SNS can support the communication while encouraging a reply not to feel a sense of duty. Users can decorate the table and dishes with several digital item using the proposed mealtime communication support system. It cleared that users can take a cue of conversation through use of the system, especially in the group containing the first meetings.
