Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this project was to elucidate an eligible local communication to strengthen disaster resilience of the rural communities which facing the fear of Tsunami caused by the Nankai Trough earthquake. In the project, social surveys were conducted in Kuroshio town and Nahari town in the Kochi Prefecture. The result of the data analysis revealed correlations among disaster preparedness, information behavior in local contexts, and personal network structures of residents of the rural community by the coast of the Pacific Ocean.
