品質指向ソフトウェアマネジメントの定着化と定量的プロジェクト評価法に関する研究

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

次世代型ソフトウェア開発手法として,分散型開発形態の1つであるオープンソースソフトウェア開発,およびプログラムを常に実行可能な状態に保って確認・拡充していく段階的拡充(インクリメンタル)開発を進めるアジャイル開発について,実際のプロジェクトデータを用いて,以下のように,管理図法に基づくソフトウェアプロジェクトの進捗状況の可視化と定量的プロジェクト評価法について議論した.
(1)オープンソースソフトウェアプロジェクトに対しては,プロジェクトの性質上,検出可能フォールト数が無限大となることを考慮して非同次ポアソン過程に基づく対数形ポアソン実行時間モデルを取り上げ,先ず品質/信頼性評価を行った.次に,そのときデータ分析手法として適用した回帰分析結果を用いて管理図を作成した.ここで,管理図の中心線(CL)をフォールト検出率(ソフトウェア故障強度)の対数値と総検出フォールト数に関する線形式の推定値とし,上方管理限界(UCL)と下方管理限界(LCL)をその線形式の推定値の信頼限界(信頼係数90%,95%,99%)とした.そこで,バグトラッキングシステム上に登録された障害件数のデータを用いて分析した結果,開発プロセスの進捗状況を可視化できると同時に,プロセスの統計的安定性を判断することができた.
(2)アジャイル開発方式については,イテレーションの経過に伴う開発規模当りまたは実行テストケース数当りの検出フォールト数の挙動を,伝統的な統計的品質管理手法の1つである3σ(シグマ)法に基づく欠点数管理図法として知られる u 管理図を実際データに適用した.その結果,品質が良好なプロジェクトではイテレーション回数の増加と共にそのフォールト検出率が順調に減少して安定化傾向を示すことが分かり,開発プロセスの進捗状況の可視化が可能となった.さらに,ソフトウェアプロダクトの定量的品質/信頼性評価法についても検討した.
