Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We have developed a real time surgical simulator for preoperative planning of cerebral aneurysm coil embolization. The simulator is using particle calculation model for implementation of deformation of shape memory alloy coil. Coil shape of the helical type and cage type can be simulated. The simulator has implemented the real time insertion of first coil into an aneurysm.
