| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In FY 2014,I completed an English translation of the third major passage on meditation on the impure in Sravakabhumi. I also completed translations of seven shorter passages throughout the text. In addition, I translated or summarized sixteen passages of various lengths in other sections of Yogacarabhumi. I gave a paper entitled "Asubha in Yogacarabhumi: Meditation, Systematization, and Sources" at the XVIIth Congress of the International Association of Buddhist Studies (August 18 to August 23, 2014 University of Vienna) on a panel entitled "Experience and Doctrine in Yogacara," of which I was a co-organizer. Then I began translating the passages on the meditation in Vibhasa. I have identified 27 passages of various lengths, and so far I have finished translating 18 of them. I am now translating the 19th passage, which is the longest and most important, and I have completed about 2/3 of it. Parts of this passage have been previously translated in scattered publications, and I am noting the places in which my translation significantly differs.

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.
Reason
According to my revised plan from last year, I expected to begin writing a monograph at the start of this year. However, since I've decided that it is important to translate a number of passages in addition to the ones that I had initially planned to translate, I will need more time for the translation than I had expected.

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
In 2015, I will complete the translations from Vibhasa and beginning writing a monograph exploring the relationship between the treatment of meditation in that text with the treatment in the somewhat later Sravakabhumi.
