Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In FY 2013, I translated passages from Sravakabhumi on meditation on the impure, and gave a paper at a conference, “From Abhidhamma to Abhidharma,” on a Chinese treatment of the meditation. In FY 2014, I completed translations of the passages in Sravakabhumi and other sections of Yogacarabhumi on the meditation and gave a paper “Asubha in Yogacarabhumi,” at the Congress of the International Association for Buddhist Studies.” In FY 2015, I completed translations of passages in Vibhasa and gave a paper on the connection between Garbhavakrantisutra and meditation on the impure. In FY 2016, I gave a paper comparing the meditation in Sravakabhumi and Vibhasa on May 28th at the 2nd Geumgang-Taisho Joint Seminar on Sravakabhumi and Buddhist Manuscripts at Taisho University in Tokyo.
