Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study was aimed at investigating the basic materials to reevaluate from various angles how Gidayu-bushi Joruri puppet theatre had been accepted in the 19th and early 20th century throughout Japan, and I completed the fundamental research.
Through this research, I discovered many unknown materials such as Joruri magazins, playbills and directories or rankings of Joruri players including nonprofessionals and women. I am convinced that this research would contribute to the further substantial studies.
