Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We made the database of the initial printed book of five booksellers in Paris of the 16th century: Anthoine Verard (294 books), Jean Trepperel (173 books), Michel Le Noir (253 books), Geffroy de Marnef (154 books), Alain Lotrian (245 books). After having considered the change of the meaning of "the author" from the end of the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, we analyzed the representation of the author in the paratext mainly on the printed books of Michel Le Noir connected with those of the other four booksellers and clarified the problem of the role of the author representation at the publication of booksellers in this period.
