| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Since the 1980's, Chinese linguistics have made great progress in various areas such as theoretical exploration, field research on Chinese dialects, corpus analysis of Classical Chinese materials, and discoveries and decipherment of a lot of pre-Han manuscripts. It is urgent to compile terminology of Chinese linguistics into a lexicon and to give accurate definitions.
This research project, together with many research collaborators in Japan, selected basic terms which commonly used in the field of Chinese linguistics and tried to give clear and accurate definition to them. Results will be published as a "Lexicon of Chinese Linguistics" after further revision.
