Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Based on the longitudinal ethnographic data obtained at three different high schools in Japan, China and South Korea, the same sets of English teachers' teaching motivation and students' English learning motivation have been interpreted by two different SLA (Second Language Acquisition) theories: Complex Dynamic Systems Theory and Activity Theory. The results have indicated some interesting similarities and differences. Future research has been also proposed in terms of elaboration of English language teaching/learning motivational theories.
