Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
The main goals for the final year of the project were completed. First, a final report that details the curriculum of the year-long quantitative research training program was prepared and printed. Second, the program was adapted into a half-year self-guided program that language teachers can follow working individually or in small groups to complete. The main component of the self-guided program is a manual for replicating the writing fluency study that served as the practical experience for the larger project. Third, support was provided to teacher participants throughout the year as they worked on completing various stages of their replication study and prepared manuscripts for publication. Fourth, using an online questionnaire, data was collected and analyzed about the teacher participants’ experiences and evaluations of the year-long program. Fifth, the results of the year-long program and the availability of the self-study program were shared at an international conference abroad and an international conference in Japan. The self-study program has also been uploaded and shared for public distribution. Finally, the results of the project were used to prepare a second generation project that received grant funding for 2016-2019.
