Outline of Final Research Achievements

Main results are as follows: In sequential group tournaments of three or more players, a player who is scheduled to be matched most earliest has the most highest expected payoff. In elimination tournaments with sequential semi-finals, matching two top strongest teams in the first semi-final is found to be optimal. Some additional results on optimal matching order of pairs of players are attained using computer simulations.
