| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
During this last year of my research, I signed contract with Palgrave Macmillan for the publication of a book entitled "Making Medicine a Business: X-ray Technology and the Transformation of the Japanese Medical System (1895-1945)", and spent most of my time preparing the manuscript (it is nearly ready and will be delivered in June 2017, for a publication before the end of 2017).
Besides, I participated to the annual conference of the Socio-Economic Society of Japan, in Sapporo, and gave a paper on a new aspect of my research (「戦前日本における専門医制の形成―放射線学の事例として―」, 11 June 2016) and co-organized a workshop at the University of Barcelona (with Prof. Paloma Fernandez Perez) about "Innovative Businesses in the Healthcare Industries in the Twentieth Century" (29 November 2016), to prepare a special issue of the journal "Business History" (under work).
