Outline of Annual Research Achievements

前年度までにおこなった (1) 各国の法制度整理、(2) 研究レビュー、(3) 心理尺度の精緻化、 (4)近接領域の概念および研究成果の整理に基づき、本年度は海外研究者との連携を通じて国際比較調査の結果を論文として報告するとともに、新たな国際比較調査を行った。前者、後者ともシュワルツの価値モデルを理論的検討の中心に置いた。前者の国際比較実証研究においてユニバーサリズムとセキュリティが考察の鍵となることが示された。この研究において使用した事実指標は政治における投票行動であったが、興味深いことに、後者の国際比較実証調査においても同様に、ユニバーサリズムとセキュリティが分析の視座として重要であることが示され、事実としての時間使用、およびモチベーションの制御への影響が強いことが示された。これらの結果の社会的意義は、現代社会においてグローバル化が進みつつも世界各大陸／地域がそれぞれの個性と特徴を持つ一方で、しかし看過できない社会変動の基底変数が何であるかについて一定の解明をすることができたことである。しかし同時に、日本と他の国々のデータを同時に分析することで、従来欧米中心で発展してきた多くの理論変数が、日本データの変動から判断して一定の修正の必要があることも示唆された。本研究で2015年度に報告したとおり、モチベーションの自己制御において、意志の側面に加え、基盤としての気候・風土および地理的条件の影響、法制度および運用形態の影響、メディア環境の影響、社会的慣習の影響、そして社会対人的交流環境の影響等が指摘できるが、それらの基盤の強固さを凌ぐ形での変動の蓋然性を支える要因が何かについても本年度の研究データから抽出することができた。
