| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本年度も、結び目理論の研究とその応用を行った。
Mariel Vazquez氏(UC Davis, USA)、石原海氏(山口大学)との共同研究、および、Dorothy Buck氏(Imperial College London)、Matt Rathbun氏(CSU Fullerton)、石原氏との共同研究で、結び目のバンド手術の研究を応用し、DNA組換え酵素のメカニズムの解明を行った。具体的にはparallel 6-catから絡み目を解消する最短経路の特徴付けと、そのメカニズムの解明を行った。この結果は国際会議の招待講演などで公表している。論文としては、今後発表予定である。
続いて、Chris Soteros氏(U. of Saskatchewan)、石原氏との共同研究で、格子結び目の結び目解消操作の研究を行い、格子結び目の統計物理学的エントロピーの研究へ応用した。この研究成果はカナダ、アメリカなどで招待講演として公表している。
また、石川昌治氏(東北大学)、Thomas Mattman氏(CSU Chico)との共同研究である結び目のA-多項式の研究の成果が論文として発表されていて、さらに、小沢誠氏(駒沢大学)との共同研究であるFoxの再埋め込み定理の精密化に関する結果を得て、論文掲載が決定している。
これらの成果を、カナダ、アメリカ、日本における国際会議での招待講演、および、研究集会などで講演を行った。
