Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、太陽型原始星(低質量原始星)の形成現場における化学組成とその進化の解明に取り組んだ。IRAM30 m望遠鏡、野辺山45 m望遠鏡などの単一口径電波望遠鏡を用いて、ペルセウス座分子雲複合体にある原始星37天体に対する化学サーベイを行った結果、炭素鎖分子が豊富に存在するWCCC(Warm-Carbon-Chain)天体と飽和大型有機分子が豊富なHot Corino天体は、化学的多様性の両極端に位置する特徴の天体であることが明らかになった。ほとんどの天体はこれら両方の天体の化学組成を合わせた”中間的”天体であり、天体によってどちらのケースに近いかは大きく異なっていた。炭素鎖分子と飽和大型有機分子の量の比で、天体によって100倍以上もの違いがあり、同じ分子雲の中でも非常に大きな化学的多様性があることを明らかにした。さらに、これらの37天体を、100 AUスケールの高空間分解能で調べる観測をALMA望遠鏡に提案し、採択された。一方で、代表的WCCC天体L1527において原始星から100AUの距離で発見された、遠心力バリアでの劇的化学変化について、他の原始星天体でも存在するかを調べた。その結果、進化の進んだClassI天体でありながら化学組成がL1527と同様のTMC-1Aで遠心力バリアの存在を確認すると共に、そこでは同様の化学変化も起こっていることが明らかになった。遠心力バリア、およびそこでの化学変化が、より普遍的に起こりえる現象であることを示した。
