Outline of Final Research Achievements

Since CCD cameras with a wide field of view have been developed, a large amount of image data is available in the astronomical data archive. Many kinds of image data having various exposure time/observational time interval, are stored in the astronomical data archive. We tried to develop a software to detect small solar system bodies from such archive data taken by astronomical surveys.
It was hard to detect and identify each small solar system body passing occasionally in such image data by chance. Because each small solar system body has different speed.
Nevertheless, we made two detection programs with two different algorithms. One of them is a way searching for moving objects in the same field images taken with various time intervals. Another one is a way to look for moving objects along a line in the images taken consecutively.
