Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to improve heat transfer and mixing performance of engineering applications, we investigate dynamic control of multiple jets using DNS(Direct Numerical Simulation). As the dynamic control, various types of rotating control are examined for free and impinging jets. Based on a mixing-state evaluation technique using a statistical entropy and a low-dimensional technique using both POD (Proper Orthogonal Decomposition) method and DMD(Dynamic Mode Decomposition)method, the mixing performance is evaluated. As a result, it is found that the proposed methods lead to the improvement of the mixing performance. Further multiple impinging jets are controlled and their characteristics of mixing performance are turn out.
