Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study investigates indoor damages of super high-rise residential RC buildings during the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Through simulation analyses of strong motions recorded at buildings, estimation criteria for indoor damage index based on actual damage survey are determined. Based on structural database for more than 1,200 super high rise residential RC buildings, seismic performance of buildings during the future massive earthquake in urbanized area will be evaluated in short time to offer disaster recovery plan for life continuity management of residences.
