本研究では、Φ値解析などによってフォールディング開始部位が明らかにされている二状態蛋白質と非二状態蛋白質を対象として、フォールディング速度データと立体構造との間の相関解析を行い、非二状態蛋白質のフォールデイング分子機構の解明に寄与することを目的とする。28年度の研究実績を以下に示す。
(1) 蛋白質フォールディングの速度論データの収集：昨年度に引き続き，PubMedなどを利用した学術論文調査を行い，単一ドメイン球状蛋白質のフォールディング速度定数（kf）とフォールディングタイプ（二状態または非二状態）に関するデータを収集した。現在，データのエントリー数は，二状態蛋白質78個，非二状態蛋白質55個の計133個であるが，現在登録途上のものが6件ほどあるので，最終的にはエントリー数が140程度になる予定である。これは，現在まで知られている，蛋白質フォールディングのデータベースの中で，最大で最新のものとなる。このデータベース公開の準備のため，共同研究者である，韓国高等科学院Jooyounh Lee教授の研究室ホームページにデータベースをアップロード中である（URL: http://lee.kias.re.kr/~protein/wiki/doku.php?id=pkhd:view）。
(2) 蛋白質フォールディング速度データベースの温度補正に関する準備研究：平成28年度より，基盤研究(C)「速度データと天然構造の相関解析による蛋白質フォールディングの遷移状態の研究」を実施しており，その準備研究として，本研究で作成したデータベース中の，各蛋白質のフォールディング実験における測定温度の調査を行った。
