Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we tried to establish a novel metabolic engineering approach to modify the key transcriptional factor, MYB, which coordinately regulate multiple target genes involved in the flavonoid metabolic pathway for modification of isoflavone content in soybean seed. As a result, we could develop a novel heterologus transcriptional factor evaluation system for target gene promotor via agr-infiltration system of N. Benthamiana, and achieved to identify the MYB gene that regulates a target, CHS7 gene expression.
