| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We identified Cathepsin E (CTSE) as a new gastric marker, and also as an useful marker for signet-ring cell carcionoma of stomach. We also found the conserved upstream 15 bp sequence of MUC5AC plays a critical role on MUC5AC expression via the recruitment of Gli transcription factor to this region.
