| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study was investigation of a comprehensive picture of toxocariasis. Only one case enrolled in the study affected prohibition of raw beef distribution. We diagnosed chronic eosinophilic pneumonia mimicking toxocariasis. A patient having peripheral eosinophilia with multiple lung nodules should consider not only toxocariasis but also eosinophilic pneumonia.
We developed new rapid diagnostic kit named ToxocaraICA instead of ToxocaraCHECK. ToxocaraICA had similar sensitivity of ToxocataCHECK.
