Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is a pleiotropic cytokine, which is involved in inflammatory response and regulates macrophage accumulation. However, the precise role of MIF in NAFLD is not clear. In this study, we have shown MIF plays an important role in the hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in high fat diet mode. These results suggest MIF might be the therapeutic target against non-alcoholic liver diseases.
