Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We prospectively followed up 81 patients with small abdominal aortic aneurysm and examined a factor associated with aneurysm progression. We foucus on several reports about negative relation with dibates and anerusym expansion. However, no significant association was noted betweeen them in our study. Intial aortic diameter, higher serum D-dimer, lower serum total protein were positively associated with anerysym expansion. Whereas, medication with angiotensin receptor blocker was negatively associated with aneurysm expansion. Further investigation about those association might lead to novel medication against abdominal aortic aneurysm progression.
