Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we have found that miR-196a could be a potential diagnostic biomarker for laryngeal cancer. Furthermore, results of our study suggested that this miR could be a promising future diagnostic target to treat laryngeal cancer. Furthermore, we have investigated the human papillomvirus (HPV) expression in laryngeal papilloma. We found expressions of several unique HPV subtypes in laryngeal papilloma tissues. We further assessed the HPV subtypes combined with our abundant clinical background data of the patients, and found several promising findings. These unique and promising results offered multiple opportunities for us to present our data in Japan and US.
