Outline of Final Research Achievements

In a wound-healing model using Vcanhdf/+ mice, we found that neovascularization is more strongly suppressed in Vcanhdf/+ mice than WT mice. This same phenomenon was observed using the cancer model in this study, suggesting that versican may have an important role in neovascularization. In the future, we plan to conduct functional analyses of versican on neovascularization.
