Outline of Final Research Achievements

RANKL pre-stimulation before stimulation of TNFa can induce active osteoclast formation. We showed the condition of RANKL pre-stimulation for forming of active osteoclasts. In this condition, osteoclast precursors expressed TRAF6. Moreover, blocking of TRAF6 at RANKL pre-stimulation inhibited TNFa inducing active osteoclast formation.
These results suggest RANKL pre-stimulation that TRAF6 is activated is important for forming of TNFa inducing active osteoclasts.
