Outline of Final Research Achievements |
First, we reviewed cognitive neuroscientific research to examine the effect of hypnotic suggestion on brain activation. In addition, we analyzed several neuroscientific properties (functional connectivities in default mode network, brain activations in various areas, and synchronization and effective connectivities among brain areas) of experienced meditators compared with beginners during meditation versus control. Finally, we proposed the unified theory of hypnosis and meditation based on the free-energy principle.
