本事業は当初計画では平成27年度までで終了の予定であったが、補助期間中にフィリピン北部のボリナオ沿岸養殖漁業海域で採集されたリン酸酸素安定同位体比測定用試料の中に一部分析未了のものが残っていたこと、またその分析結果を含めて、リン酸酸素同位体比に基づく起源解析とリン酸の動態モデルを扱った論文を成果として取りまとめて発表する必要があったことから、研究期間を平成28年度まで延長した。
分析未了であった試料は、重要なものについてはすべて28年中に分析・データ処理の作業を終えた。また、リン酸の酸素安定同位体比測定データを補正・解釈する上で不可欠な情報である、同時に採集された海水試料中の水の酸素・水素安定同位体比、溶存無機炭素の炭素安定同位体比のための試料分析とデータ解析も並行して進め、年度末までに完了させた。この結果、当該海域に養殖漁業を経由して供給される溶存リン酸の動態について新たな知見を得ることができた。
これらの結果をとりまとめて、養殖漁業の盛んな沿岸海域におけるリンの外部負荷源に特徴的な酸素安定同位体比指標を明らかにするとともに、リン酸の外部負荷による富栄養化機構の特徴を溶存リン酸酸素同位体比により解析・モデル化した。その成果の一部は日本地球惑星科学連合2016年大会、Goldschmidt Conference 2016、第17回有毒藻類学国際会議などで発表した。また国際誌に投稿するべき論文を作成した。論文は29年3月末の段階では投稿準備中である。
