Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,小型バイオマス燃焼炉からの環境負荷を抑制して大気環境汚染を防止するために,従来製品より粉じん負荷に強い「超低圧損フィルタ」を開発するものである。
開発にあたってコストとメンテナンス性を重視し,繊維層フィルタより捕集効率が低いが安価で耐久性が高い充填層フィルタ技術を応用し,ドラフト気流のみで駆動するPM0.1を50%以上捕集できる超低圧力損失フィルタの可能性について検討した。球形のガラスビーズと,非球形のステンレス粒子を使用した基礎実験から,従来のろ過理論との整合性を確認し,非球形のステンレス粒子の一部で,球形粒子より同一圧力損失での捕集効率の高い結果が得られたほか,薪ストーブの燃焼温度と排ガス流速の関係を調査し,これも従来の理論との整合性を確認した。この温度条件と捕集効率から,ポンプレス集じん装置が十分実現可能であることが確認されたが,今年度実際の装置試作の際に,大きなフィルタ表面積が必要であることが判明し,煙突の設計を含めて見直し,キャンドル型の新しい充填層フィルタ形状を提案・試作し,基礎的なデータを得て,PM0.1捕集効率が設計通りに出ることを確認した。
今後の展開として,薪ストーブの実用に際した燃焼状態と捕集性能の実証データが不十分であるので,その知見の蓄積を進める。連携する研究で導入する薪ボイラーでの実証試験も予定している。
