Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Advanced interaction models supporting tangible interface components implemented through laser-based surface engraving and undersurface encoding have been designed. Large displays with enhanced touch-screen functionality have been integrated into an experimental virtual environment for critical operation control training and crisis prevention simulations. Novel methods for virtual sound generation over interactive surfaces have been developed and employed for spatial cueing in the experimental training simulation.
