Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Dust grains form in circumstellar environments, and play important roles in star formation, planetary system formation, and galactic chemical evolution. It is important to understand the kinetic aspect of dust formation processes, especially the vapor growth kinetics of dust. In this study, we developed a new vacuum furnace to simulate homogeneous nucleation and growth of metallic iron dust in circumstellar environments.
