Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This work aims at realizing an on-chip avalanche current amplifier utilizing relaxation process of non-equilibrium electrons induced by the electron-electron interaction. We developed such an amplifier and achieved the amplification ratio of 9, tuning parameters for the low input current. This may allow for detecting a single propagating electron in a solid. We also developed technologies to connect this amplifier to an electron wave interferometer.
