Outline of Final Research Achievements

The Doppler SODAR system with horizontal and vertical rotation for measuring wind field are tried to be developed. SODAR uses sound for measurement. PC and its sound system with commercially available microphone and speaker are used with parabola reflectors to improve directivity and gain.
The rotating table has weight limitation, so we can not use 1m parabola, which is used previously in observable system. We tried to improve the system with making 3 sets, as selecting light weight parabola and improving amplifiers, filters and software. But regrettably we can not observe wind field due to the noise caused by ground reflection. We continue the effort to develop the system.
