Outline of Annual Research Achievements

・フィラメンテーションを利用してAs2Ae3カルコゲナイドガラス中では13μmにまでSC光が拡張することを確認し,カルコゲナイドガラスが広帯域,特に中赤外SC光発生に有効な素材であることを実証した.
・As2Se3をコアとするカルコゲナイドファイバのSC光発生特性を解析し,当ファイバの光透過域全体で正常分散特性を実現する構造が存在し、その構造を実現すると3から15μmまでSC光を延ばすことができることを明らかにした.また、コヒーレンス度も上記波長域全体で高く保たれることを明らかにした.さらにAs2Se3をコアとするカルコゲナイドファイバを実現して10μmに及ぶSC光の発生の確認に初めて成功した.
・AsSe2/As2S5カルコゲナイドガラスによる微細構造光ファイバを実現し3.42μmの長波長まで自己周波数シフトが起こることを確認し、同シフトが長波長域のコヒーレント光発生に利用できることを示した.
・テルライト微細構造光ファイバにより100dB以上のパルス励起による光パラメトリック増幅利得を確認した.さらに四光波混合による石英光ファイバでは起こらない2対のアイドラー光とシグナル光の発生が起こることを初めて実験的に見出し、これは伝搬定数の高次微分の符号の変化により起こる現象であることを理論的に明らかにした.この現象を利用すると光パラメトリック増幅帯域の拡張が行えることを明らかにした.上記テルライト微細構造光ファイバにより石英光ファイバより広い300nmの増幅帯域が得られることを実証した.
・コアの周囲にコアよりも屈折率の低い層を配置することにより、ファイバの構造揺らぎに起因する波長分散特性の揺らぎを効果的に抑制できることを初めて明らかにした.この構造を用いることにより、これまでにない高非線形ガラスを用いた実用的な光パラメトリック増幅用光ファイバが実現できることを明らかにした.
