Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Coral reefs worldwide are declining due to climate change. It has been widely believed that coral stress tolerance is related with their symbiont type. In this project, based on a hypothesis that coral “personality” is more important for stress tolerance than their symbiont type, we aimed to identify genomic regions or genes that are important for stress response of corals using whole genome SNP (Single Nucleotide Polymorphism) analyses.
