Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Identification of relationships between “patients’ stress coping capacity (pre-operative psychological states)”, “post-operative delirium in patients”, and “QOL/PTSD of patients following discharge”. Our team found that development of delirium can be prevented by offering views to patients about meaningfulness of surgery to improve their QOL in the pre-operational screening test with consideration patients’ age. Our team showed the significance to provide emotional supports to patients, such as reducing their anxiety and enhancing their positive expectation for surgical outcomes.
