Outline of Annual Research Achievements

28年度は、(1) 世界最高の動作速度を有する片端光入射型の分布型光ファイバ歪・温度センサの開発とポリマー光ファイバ(POF)への適用、(2) POF中のブリルアン散乱特性の吸水依存性の解明、(3) 歪と温度を同時に変化させた場合のPOF中のブリルアン散乱特性の解明、(4) 極めて簡素な構成によるロス分布センシングの実証、などの成果を収めた。以下、それぞれについて詳述する。
(1) ブリルアン散乱スペクトルの形状解析に基づき、従来の片端光入射型分布センシング技術「ブリルアン光相関領域反射計(BOCDR)」の動作速度を劇的に向上させた。得られた100 kHzのサンプリングレートは従来法の5000倍以上であり、振動の分布計測という新たな分野を切り拓く大きな成果である。本手法は、従来法より空間分解能も高く、数mmの歪を検出可能であることも示した。また、本手法をPOFに適用することにも成功した。(2) 吸水率が比較的大きいPOFにおいて、ブリルアン散乱特性の吸水に対する依存性を調査した。本成果は、水分センシングに適用できると期待される。(3) POF中のブリルアン散乱特性の歪および温度に対する依存性はすでに調査されていた。しかし、歪と温度が同時に変化した場合の挙動については、未解明であった。そこで、歪と温度のクロス効果について調査し、歪依存特性が温度に依存すること(およびその逆)を明らかにした。本成果は、ブリルアン散乱に基づくPOFセンサを実応用する際、正確な歪や温度変化の値を知るために必須となる。(4) 従来、ロス分布センシングのためには、音響光学変調器や参照光路が必要であった。今回、レーザーの線幅が非ゼロであることを活用し、それらを撤廃した極めて簡素な測定系でロス分布を測定することに成功した。低コスト化により、実用化が推進されると期待される。
