Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Nutrient intake is one of the most important factors to get higher peak bone mass during youth. In this study, we investigated the relationship between nutrient intake and bone metabolism marker; bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BAP). We demonstrated the possibility that adequate amounts of nutrient intake have positive effects on bone metabolism marker, and promote bone formation. We obtained useful data for development of nutritional education program for improving bone metabolism.
