Outline of Final Research Achievements

Natural history museums have reposited “physical materials” such as animals, plants, rocks and minerals. By contrast, surface peel specimens present not only “physical materials” but also “phenomena” occurred on the Earth. Surface peel specimens of real outcrops are useful for understanding geological processes in laboratories, and also suitable for exhibition and educations in museums. New possibilities of museum specimens are shown by this study using surface peel specimens.
