Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we developed new methods for detecting whether event related potentials were specific to different gaze directions. First, we revealed a problem that a visual mismatch negativity reflected by an automatic detection for gaze directions was obscured by the contents of visual stimuli. Second, we found that a neural adaptation in 130-170 ms during a repetitive paradigm was specific to gaze direction. The results of the present studies suggested the possibility of a new method for detecting brain responses evoked by the gaze directions.
