Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of the study lies in seeing colonial korea's religion from the perspective of imperial history. The two main achievements go like this. First, it finds the significant importance of the religious documents studied and written by the Japanese Government General of Korea. it leads Korean historians to pay special attention to the documents, resulting many reprinting and publication of the papers. Second, it presents a new perspective called "imperial religion" to the modern religious history studies. This study is widened into "imperial Shinto" in the Japanese academic worlds and make a contribution to the study of modern history of religion.
