Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I would like to clarify the N-pattern accent systems of the Western Gyeongsang dialects, Jeollanam-do dialects and Gangwon-do dialects. It aims to be the generalization of the theory that accent-kernel and the word-tone can coexist within the accent system of the noun. I analyzed the Hadong dialect of Western Gyeongsang as a four-pattern accent system, in which one accent-kernel and three word-tone is distinguished. I have also pointed out the prosodic properties of accent kernel and word-tone of Yeongwol-gun, Jeongseon-gun, Samcheok-si in Gangwon-do dialects. And the last one, I clarified the accent system of the Gwangyang dialect, the Gure dialect and the Suncheon dialect.
