Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
During this year, the following tasks have been carried out:
1) A study about the frequency distribution of function words in academic Spanish texts written by Japanese L1 speakers vs. those written by Spanish L1 speakers. 2) The compilation of a blog corpus: a collection of texts (web blogs) written by Japanese L1 speakers learning Spanish. We studied which motivates this kind of learners to write in a blog, which are the most frequent topics and what are the linguistic properties of texts. 3) The writing of a set of CG rules for automatic article error detection and correction. 4) The annotation of the blog corpus with article error information.
