Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
Research at Goshono Site on Jomon building reconstructions and the World Heritage bid has continued from the previous year. New research at Goshono Site includes interviews and observation of the "Jomon Satoyama" project that focuses on renewal of environmental resources. New research of the educational and training programs at the Nara National Research Institute began as planned in December 2014, where I was able to observe the training course on innovations in archaeological information technologies. This year results of research at Amenomiya Kofun Site in Nakanoto Town, Ishikawa were published in the edited volume "Reframing Diversity in the Anthropology of Japan" (Ertl et al. eds.). This volume also includes an introduction to the volume written by the researcher on Diversity in Japan. This book was published with grant funds. The principal investigator also presented research at the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences conference at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture on May 16 2014. The title was "Intersections of Diversity and Mobility in Japanese Archaeological Discourse."

Current Status of Research Progress |
Current Status of Research Progress
2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.
Reason
Research has progressed largely according to the initial proposal. Finally, participant observation of educational training and student excavations at Kanazawa Gakuin University have not gone as planned. This research will not continue due to death of cooperating researcher.
