Outline of Annual Research Achievements

最終年度は、大学新入生を対象に4回目の調査を行った。縦断調査の回収率が向上し、当初想定していた分析モデルの導入が可能となったため、潜在的自尊心、顕在的自尊心、自己愛傾向が、弱い紐帯と強い紐帯におけるネットワークの形成に及ぼす影響について、Stochastic Actor Orientation Model (SAOM) による分析を行った。その結果、潜在的自尊心は顕在的自尊心によって高まり、また潜在的自尊心の高さは弱い紐帯（情報獲得）のネットワークの拡張傾向を抑制することが明らかとなった。その一方で、いずれの変数もネットワークにおける被選択傾向とは関連を示さず、孤立を深めるというプロセスは示されなかった。これらの結果は、潜在的自尊心の低さが、他者からの受容を阻害するような防衛的な反応を示すという当初の想定とは異なっていた。しかし、潜在的自尊心の高さが、ネットワークにおける個人の能動的な対人選択行動を控える方向に作用する点は興味深い。潜在的自尊心を他者からの受容のバロメータとして捉えると、この結果は、個人がネットワーク内で一定程度の受容を獲得している場合、弱い紐帯でのさらなる情報獲得を志向せず、閉じた関係の中にとどまることを志向する可能性を示唆するものである。
