Outline of Final Research Achievements |
During emotional communication, congruent facial expressions to others (mimicry response) tend to occur in cooperative situation, while incongruent facial expressions (divergent response) tend to occur in competitive situation. This study revealed that mimicry to happy facial expression occurred regardless of social context, and friends showed facial mimicry in competitive situation. Also, mimicry and divergent responses influenced success in mail communication.
