Outline of Annual Research Achievements

二つの事柄について主に実績を得た。
(1)量子ウォークの単体複体上への拡張:
グラフ上の量子ウォークにおいて、グラフにサイクルが存在することにより局在化と呼ばれる現象は起こる。高次のホモロジーに反応するという類推の下、境界作用素を定義して、単体複体上に拡張した新しい量子ウォークを提案した。主に数値計算によって、高次元の"輪っか"や、さらに"縁"に対しても局在化のような反応を示すことを観察することができた。
(2)抽象的な量子ウォークの構成とその固有値解析:
量子ウォークのクラスの中には、その固有値分布が背後にあるランダムウォークの固有値によって語れるクラスがある。この本質的な構造を追求するために、グラフも含むようなより抽象的な空間上のユニタリ作用素を提案した。それによると、この固有値写像を生み出す本質的な要因は、そのユニタリ作用素が、二つの異なる自己共役・ユニタリ作用素の積であるということがわかった。その副産物として、このクラスの量子ウォークのgeneratorを導出することができた。ある種の波動方程式を満たすことが分かった。
