Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Notch signaling regulates many cell-fate decision in multi-cellular organism and its defects causes various diseases in human like cancer. pecanex (pcx) is a component of Notch signaling. My study revealed that Pcx is localized to the ER and required for the ER morphogenesis. To further understanding of pcx molecular function, I screened pcx modifiers and identified 6 candidate genes. I obtained 4 genes, which encodes known Notch signaling components, Nsf2 encoding an ATPase required for the vesicle fusion and jim lovell encoding a transcription factor. And I showed that these candidate genes genetically interact with pcx.
